CHARLOTTE, NC –  The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is pleased to announce that Samuel “Alex” Long, Jr. has been named a Partner of the firm, effective January 1, 2015.

Alex is a member of the intellectual property practice group in the Charlotte, North Carolina office.  He focuses his practice in the areas patent, trademark, and copyright litigation and prosecution.  Alex received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina and his B.S., Engineering, cum laude, from Clemson University. Alex is admitted to practice in North Carolina, in South Carolina and in the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
